A Little About Me

I grew up in the Potomac Highlands of West Virginia and served in the U.S army as a Combat Medic and an M1A1 tank crewman before working in law enforcement for several years. I also worked as fly fishing guide and was a Master Falconer for 13 years. I’ve been married for 29 years and have three adult children.

I have over twenty years of experience working with youth and families in a therapeutic environment, having started my journey in the field in 2001 in a direct care role.

The work of teaching and healing people has been a powerful, meaningful part of my life for over two decades. I find that the facilitation of groups, retreats and coaching has given me an opportunity to help others while also being a constant learning and growth experience for myself as well.

Over the years I have facilitated in experiential outdoor environments, workshops, retreats, milieu, groups and one on one. I facilitated week-long therapeutic retreats for six years where the focus was on belief and identity level work with a strong emphasis on metaphoric teaching as a means of healing, inspiration and re-framing.

I also have years of experience facilitating and co-facilitating family workshops with up to fifteen clients and by extension years of follow-up work in Parent Coaching.

When not working I enjoy Fly Fishing, reading, hiking, camping and spending time with my family.
